Project Description
The Largo Water Treatment Facility is a new state of the art facility built for WMATA’ s operations in Prince Georges County, MD. The project includes green roof and curved photovoltaic roof panels. The masonry building houses a sophisticated water treatment system including chemicals tanks and pumps, and bubbler mixers. The building has a high security system with CCTV cameras, and is connected to the WMATA system to control and monitor temperature/humidity, and to ensure conformance to Federal and state water quality standards.
