Project Description
W. M. Schlosser Company was awarded this project in October 2019 to renovate the interiors of a historical Grey Court house building built in 1931 and expanded in 1960 located at 27, Courthouse square, Rockville, Maryland. The project is required to be certified for LEED (ID & C V4). The interior renovation work included Hazmat abatement, Selective demolition, addition of structural steel supports, repair/replacement of plaster wall, ceiling & moldings, replacement of all interior doors, frames & hardware with card readers, replacement of storefront, new carpet, VCT & rubber flooring, repair/replace existing terrazzo & marble walls, replace two electric and two hydraulic elevators, repair roof, replace generator on the roof, casework and bulletproof barriers, new drywall & ceilings, interior painting and windows painting, new fire alarm and sprinkler systems, all associated new HVAC, Plumbing, Gas & Electrical work including new equipment and controls. The site work included extension of storm drain piping, concrete & asphalt pavement & marking, handicap ramp, refurbish exterior granite steps, new electric illuminated monument signs etc.
